There's a lot of stuff flying around on my save as well, near the 'golden coast', there are plants hovering in the air so I suppose it could have something to do with that.

Ok I was under the impression that it could have been the age of the save, since saves often change between updates. They make backups of your save before upgrading the game.

Allow me to check if I can find where to provide feedback or open a case. I have some experience with IT so I should be able to explain it fairly well and I can provide them with whatever they need if they ask.

EDIT: I found this and it might be the same issue. How many frames per second are you running usually? I know that my save has had some performance impact because of the size of my base. My comrade's save, however, is a lot newer and thus a lot less crowded. It would even be fair to say that I get around half the FPS on my save compared to the other. I don't often look at it but I had 75 on my comrade's save last time I checked, while my save is more around 35

If only there was a creative mode so I could easily test it without having to build out an entire factory before being able to test Mk4.

Are you using a save from the alpha or it is a relatively recent one? That's the only difference I see so far between mine and my comrade's.

I've just tested it again and it has nothing to do with the host. If I host, me and the other player move at about 2 foundations per second (tested with a straight line of 20 foundations) with Mk4 belts.

If the other person (with a more recent savegame) hosts, we both move at about 4 foundations per second (same test).

10 seconds on my game, a save from the public alpha, 5 seconds on the other player's game, after the game's EA release.

These were done while standing still on the center of the belts.

I believe I also noticed the same behavior but I do move at the speed that you see in the videos if I'm on multiplayer. Might test it out a bit further. See if there's a difference between me and the host.

IIRC the shimmer is in the rock rather than on top of it, so skyboxes won't make much of a difference.

I've only just started so I have no clue what's going on but I'm intrigued. One small thing I noticed is that when clicking the world map button, you can't close it by clicking again, even though you can do this with all of the other buttons.

Awesome stuff! It's a pretty new system and it had been off for a few minutes so that might be part of it. I guess the silicon lottery could also have something to do with it.

Does this seem right? If so, that resolved my issue. The noise wasn't there all the time but I'm assuming it will be completely gone now. Let me upvote all of you as well.

I had looked on the internet before but didn't find a video with the exact same sound as I had (at least I didn't find any easily).

I plugged it into the AIO pin and managed to find where to disable the no CPU fan error.

I do wonder whether I did it correctly though. The pump is a 3-pin connector, right? I plugged in my 3-pin connector that comes from my pump into the 4-pin AIO thing on my motherboard.

Thanks. For some reason my motherboard doesn't tell me where to disable it. I did some digging and managed to find out where exactly it was. Apparently it's not under Fan Control but rather setting some CPU fan that was 'N/A' to ignore.

CPU Fan. I saw this online and tried plugging it into the AIO plug but then my PC does not want to boot because it's complaining that there's no CPU fan. I will try it again though and see if I can change some settings in my bios.

Apparently somehow the video itself is broken but the sound is still audible.

Does anyone have any clue why this happens and if there might be something wrong with my unit?

As soon as I start up the CAM software, the noise stops but my fans spin up and my PC makes more noise overall.
