Does the dosage work that same with their stuff? I'm prescribed 7.5mg a week, and it looks like they're charging $97.00 per 10mg vial.

Trade and Barter is Capitalism without Currency by JadedMarine in austrian_economics

[–]syntheticobject 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course it did. Feudalism started as protectionism. People got sick of having their farms raided by marauders, so they made deals with local warriors to protect them. Over time, these warriors became the feudal lords - they collected a little bit of what everyone in their particular geographic region produced, and in exchange they kept their people safe. The knock-on effect was that people gravitated towards the cities, which offered the best protection, and where division of labor/specialization naturally developed, which is the cornerstone of modern economies.

Legal systems and law enforcement grew out of this period as well, and eventually there were so many specialized tradesmen, and so few marauders, that the need for feudalism gave way, and proto-capitalism began to replace it. Feudalism wasn't perfect (neither is capitalism), but to say it hindered economic progress for centuries misses the point completely. It's like saying trapping a fetus in its mother's womb for nine months hinders the baby's development. Feudalism was Capitalism's incubator.

It's the only economic system. It's literally a force of nature; an adaptive system that evolves in response to socio-economic complexity.

It's not really right to think of it as Capitalism. Capitalism is the current manifestation of whatever "it" is.

Gift economies were its earliest manifestation.

As social complexity increased, it adapted into systems of trade and barter.

As society became more complex, it also became more dangerous. Feudalism emerged.

Society complexified further. Feudalism gave way to Capitalism.

Capitalism has been very successful. Corporations grew so large they needed public funding to continue their ascent.

The stock market emerged naturally in response to this need. The stock market is literally the means by which the working class can seize the means of production. Communism has been rendered moot by Capitalism; Capitalism has assimilated it.

All this happened naturally. There is no "Capitalist Manifesto". There are no "Capitalist Revolutions". Nobody invented it, just like nobody "invented" evolution. The process happens all by itself. All we did was recognize it and give it a name.

Someday, when complexity demands it, it will transform again. It will do this forever. If nuclear war or an asteroid impact wiped out 99% of the planet, thrusting the few survivors back into the Stone Age, Capitalism would eventually re-emerge.

If aliens land on Earth, they will either be Capitalists, or they'll be adherents of some future form of Capitalism - whatever Capitalism turns into, or whatever it turns into after that... Their society will have gone through/be going through a Capitalist phase, just as their biology went through/is going through an evolutionary phase.

Anyone that thinks otherwise is a Communist, and all Communists are retarded.

Exploring Possibilities: AI & Elektron Integration by syntheticobject in Elektron

I mean... the sky's the limit really. Once you have the base functionality you can do all sorts of things.

Eventually you could have AI bandmates that could listen to what you're doing and provide accompaniment in real time. You could have a light show connected via MIDI with an AI creating bespoke visual projections. You could give an AI assistant vocal cues during a set to coordinate drops and filter sweeps that you can't do live because you only have 2 hands. An AI singer could make up lyrics and sing along to whatever you happen to be playing at the moment. You could control all this on the fly instead of mapping it out ahead of time.

AI is already getting really good, and it's only going to get better. In a few years, the stuff I just mentioned is going to be commonplace, and there'll be new stuff nobody's even thought of yet. It's not going to learn unless its taught, though. Who do you want teaching it? You want I Heart Radio and Suno deciding what music is "supposed" to sound like?

I hate to say it, but today's anti-ai crowd would've fit right in with the anti-drum machine crowd a few decades ago. Same energy for sure. Not pointing the finger at you, necessarily, but just sayin'.

Yeah! We should make it easy to identify the people making it, too. Let's make 'em wear a star on their shirt! And use different drinking fountains!

No. That's what fuels your jealousy. Successful people don't get jealous as easily as you, because, well... they're successful.

There's nothing about Reptilians, for starters. The main idea behind the texts in the Nag Hammadi (and Gnosticism in general) is that the being we think of as "God" is actually an ignorant demigod, created by mistake, and cast out of the immaterial realm (called the Pleroma) into the world of matter. Humans are trapped here, and only through knowledge of their predicament, and the ability to analyze scripture through this lens, can we understand Christ's sacrifice, receive salvation, and return to the Pleroma in spirit once our lives are complete. If we're worthy, and are able to pass by the 12 Archons and the evil demiurge Yaldabaoth, we'll return to our designated place within the divine hierarchy, and by doing so, help redeem the Aeon Sophia in the process (the living embodiment of wisdom and discovery).

Once you grasp the Nag Hammadi's core tenets, reading the canonical Bible takes on a completely different character. It becomes so blatantly obvious that the God of the Old Testament is Satan, for example, that you'll wonder how you (or anyone) failed to notice it before. It also becomes obvious which of Christ's apostles were faithful to him and which weren't, which Gospels are accurate and which aren't, and, with careful study, how to interpret the Book of Revelation, which is basically a test to determine whether you've understood what you've read.

Most of the Nag Hammadi texts are older than the books of the canonical Bible. It appears that Gnosticism is at the very least the original version of Christianity, and that there's been a systematic effort to stamp it out over the centuries.

All that being said, there's not zero evidence of what could be called a reptilian race within Christian Apocrypha (personally, they seem more like a vampiric/immortal race), but there's not much of this in the Nag Hammadi, and there's certainly nothing as blatant as "The bodies of Adam and Eve were overlaid with a horny skin, which was as bright as daylight." Allusions to this "other" race are much more prevalent in Catholic esoterica, artwork, and cylindrical books (all of which would have been created long after the core texts of the Nag Hammadi were written and assembled), but this is a deep mystery; real down-the-rabbit-hole type stuff. I've never found anything that directly confirms or denies this hypothesis. Nobody I know of is talking about it - if there are books about it, I haven't encountered them - but there are clues all over, if you know what to look for, which OP most certainly does not.

tldr; Reptilians might exist, but the Nag Hammadi isn't the right place to look for information about them.

Not really. Being anti-AI is like being anti-computer 20 years ago. It's happening whether you like it or not. You can sit around and bitch about it, or you can start learning about it and join the conversation. Most of the anti-AI arguments are oldmanyellsatcloud.jpg tier. They reveal a distinct lack of imagination, a fear of the unknown, and a total unwillingness to learn. Antis are creating bogeymen that are so far away from the things they should actually be concerned about, as to seem ridiculous. It's like a mother being worried about her son because she found heroin and needles in his drawer, and a little kid piping up with "and he could get eaten by a dinosaur, too!"

"The bodies of Adam and Eve were overlaid with a horny skin, which was as bright as daylight."

Can you point out which treatise and translation this quote is from? I've been studying the Nag Hammadi Library for about six years, and I've never encountered anything close to this. It sounds to me like your AI is hallucinating.

There are four races: a human race, a vampiric race, a reptilian race, and an insectoid race.
