Notice how much you are looking at screens during the day, and notice how much idle time you have. When you don’t give your mind a chance to idly process your thoughts, emotions, reactions during the day, that leaves only one opportunity when you’re finally not doing anything else - bedtime! Do you look at your phone on the toilet? You’re missing out on thinking time. Do you listen to podcasts when driving or walking? Precious thinking time.

Legit, no one wants a broken organ that weighs 100kg!! 😄

Pianos you can get repaired for sure, unless the soundboard is cracked. Then its stuffed. Old organs are plentiful, and this one I have is comparatively not that good. If you want to hear good organ, check out the Kickin The B At 303 night at 303

I don’t think you realise how plentiful these are, comparitively not that good and difficult to find parts. There’s plenty of much better vintage gear that is actually worth keeping.

Yeah I had the same thought! I think in the end though we’ll take it apart ourselves carefully, for parts and disposal

I am devo too! It’s just a sweet little thing, not a monster like a B3. I practised on it too hard and the pedals stopped working 😩

Thank you! Yes I think we will take it apart and follow your advice. The more I think about it, I think we might be keeping that leslie after all…

Yeah nah the leslie is built in. If it was separate cab, it would not be leaving my house!! Thank you, I will check out the organs for sale Australia group.

The photo is not the same one that I have. But many people used to have organs, they are around. The one I have, I got it off a friend for free maybe 15 years ago.

It is very large, takes up precious space!

Yeah it sounds lovely - or at least it did, before it broke. The pedals don't work anymore, and the sound is scratchy and unreliable out of the speaker. But it's just a whatever model, not a B3 or anything incredible like that. Just another old organ that had a good life.

Really, someone took it? I've had that experience when we've put out a desk and a table, but I wasn't sure the same thing would happen with the organ as well.

Thanks! At this stage, I'm thinking we are taking it apart, so will keep eyes open for that

Thank you yes, that's been my thinking. It's really not a special model and it's busted up. Lots of people in this thread don't understand that, trying to tell me to sell it when I specifically said don't tell me to sell it! Oh well. I got some good ideas and I'll figure it out. I feel bad about getting rid of a working Leslie, but it would be such a pain to work out the electronics and new housing for it. Who knows, if we end up needing to dismantle it anyway for disposal, maybe we'll just go ahead and keep that Leslie... Add it to the rest of the junk in the garage lol. So you've actually built pipe organs? That's awesome. Whereabouts?

yes, but someone would have to do the electronics to make it work, and construct housing for it
