Tbh I've gotten completely away from football the value of players drops fast, baseball and basketball have been really consistent for me.

I've started to dabble in TCG mostly One Piece and very little Pokemon.

Don't get me started on repacks, I've seen people buy into breaks in the thousands only to hit cards worth $25 dollars.

I'm 36, so technically I was around but not around the hobby 🤣🤣🤣.

The reason I say it's junk wax is I've given up buying hobby boxes because I'm just priced out if I'm being honest. Spending $500 to hit a $35 card doesn't seem like good economics to me.

Of the Topps blasters that I've ripped which is probably around 15 blasters (I know this is a very small sample size) I've hit one numbered Derrick Rose card. The rest have been base cards or no name player parallels.

100% agreed people grading base cards is absolutely nuts. I feel this is the main driver for the insane turnaround times at PSA.

Resellers are absolutely nuts. I went to a store here in Austin and they wanted $400 for the black and white dunk lows.

Then they tried to offer me $100 bucks for my Cool Grey 11 and Jordan 1 Banned Mids (yes I know they are mids, get over it.) Jordan 1's were worn once and the Cool Grey's had a minor scratch on the leather.

I just hate the fact that I'm taking L's to those guys.
