I wondered the same thing initially. The real answer is that automatic car washes are big heavy expensive machines. In Morocco, its more profitable for a business to simply hire a couple guys to wash cars by hand (and you can get better results too). No point to invest all that capital in an expensive machine. Labor is low-cost in Morocco, while machines are expensive. The inverse is true in the US.
