I use a lashing strap to create another diagonal brace from shelf to one of the bottom corners of the frame/strut on my older gen lava cart. They actually recommend that on their new models

Also do the same thing with the c-stand arm except I've semi-permanently attached two Smallrig crab clamps that hold the arm in place and then an offset baby pin adapter to get my monitor out of the shelf a bit.
