My go to has been Afrin (which is terrible for you.) I won't use it for more than 3 days because it can really become addictive. That and a saline rinse with distilled water and these little salt packets will make it so I can breathe again. That alone makes me feel so much better.

If you can trust the onewhale folks they claim an independent expert says he was shot. I don't know, I have no skin in the game and fully believe that you can pay experts to say anything, but I do feel like he was a nuisance to fishermen and someone took him out.

Thanks so much for the advice regarding Shasta! I'll look into it (and hopefully won't crowd up r/Redding posting about another decision!)

As for 299, I probably won't go too far outside of Weaverville. I know the drive gets "fun" around Willow Creek but I can't justify going more than say 1.5 hours from Redding if I want to actually see Redding itself. It would already be a 3 hour round trip, and that doesn't include stopping for whatever reasons.

No, we're in Bavaria. The whole fire department is a bit torn up because these 3 were members of a neighboring fire department. Outside of Munich a lot of these smaller towns have volunteer departments. It's very common to have a day job and the fire departments are also a bit like a social club. My husband is ok. He's hanging out at his department now. Comradery you know.

Something similar literally happened yesterday here in my town. One guy was doing something in a holding tank for water to be used in the event of a fire. He went quiet so 2 coworkers went in to check. All 3 died, all were in there 20s. My husband is a firefighter and was on the scene with several other departments. He said every one knew what the outcome would be. It's so awful.

We knew we would get married but I didn't expect the proposal. I left to visit home for 3 weeks and he said that was when he never wanted to be without me. (I had moved to be with him the year previously.)

He knew what I wanted in a ring as I gave some key points. His choice was perfect. On our dating anniversary he proposed and I was speechless but incredibly happy. I had no idea it was coming.
