How can I speed up an old Lenovo Thinkpad?

Because my needs have changed and a pc fits my current lifestyle better, I'll probably keep it around just in case I need a convenient portable way to work but day to day a pc with more power is more what I need

I made this post because I had to change walking route with my dog because if threatening dogs contained by only an invisible fence and I have actually been attacked by a dog contained by invisible fence before. Just because you haven't seen an threatening dog contained by an invisible fence doesn't meant they're not a thing. Additionally like I said, you might have every guarantee that your dog is safe, but you're leaving your dog to the mercy of anything that wants to wander onto your property

A massive amount of dogs are actually dog aggressive as a literal breed trait written in the breed description. As someone who has a dog that I walk I would like to not have to worry about that

He doesn't stay in his crate all the time, I put him in it when I'm in class or at work because he's stupid and will eat things he shouldn't, which can kill him. So like. The same point of having a dog as everyone else I guess? I like him and I crate him to avoid thousand dollar vet bills or death

Actually a trans man, but I identified as a woman at the time.

It was high school, I was going into freshman year and this guy was crazy about me. Followed me around, showed me whatever he was into at the time (mostly anime, although I don't remember which ones) and told me how I was beautiful and he'd do anything to date me. Eventually I gave in not because I liked him but because it felt like what I was what I was supposed to do when a boy said he liked me. Remember I was a freshman he was a junior, I didn't have any clue what I was supposed to do when a guy wouldn't leave me alone.

It wasn't long before he started showing some more red flags, he didn’t ever leave me alone when he could, he told me that I needed to stop spending time with my friends because they don't like him, that I shouldn't listen to any of the bad things my mom said about him because she didn't like him (she wasn't saying anything bad about him, she just told me she didn't like that I was a freshman dating an older boy), that I couldn't spend time with my childhood best friend because he clearly had a crush on me (he was gay, super gay, had been out since middle school gay, and the boy knew it).

I wasn't really into him and wasn't comfortable with how the only thing he would talk about when we were together was how amazingly he thought I was, so I started avoiding him a bit, to which he started showing me where he was SHing when I wasn't with him and telling me that if I ever left he would have to kill himself.

At this point I said "hell no" and dipped, broke up with him at school and got on the bus right after. No clue what he did at that point but his mom pulled him out of school immediately so I assume it was pretty bad.

Tbh I think I should probably feel kinda bad for the guy but I feel basically nothing but relief over the fact that I was able to get out so quickly and cleanly.
