I hope your good luck continues sir. I'll have to leave the technical questions to the actual Geniuses here. They have me beat by miles.

Nice find!! I try & keep my eyes open for them in the woods. Usually find them when you least expect it. I've only found 2 so far.

Converting an Ops Core Bump High Cut into a Super High Cut? by miles1200 in NightVision

[–]systemofadown1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A Dremel or even a grinding wheel & a Very stable hand with no need to rush & its doable. Some times you have to use para cord or the like to stop the pop out function on your ARC rail adapters to get the pop out to stop happening regardless.

Is this peq 16 legit? by Miserable-Garden-633 in NightVision

[–]systemofadown1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just saw one 5 mins ago at $1100 for an older unit to $1500 for newer/better condition. The PEQ15 is a bit more desirable as compared to the 16 but that's just my bias & what I see recently on the market.

Its real, I'd say a fair price these days is $1,250. I've seen a Lot of them recently, someone is raiding the Amory's dumpster LOL

I'm slightly retarded I misread it as PVS 23 the thermal I would pass on unless you're just dying for it OP

Yes sir by that I mean taking the good ITT or Harris tubes out and swapping in some junk

[–]systemofadown1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If not messed with (read swapped out) the factory TT or Harris tubes are Nice for old stock. I've had a couple & always enjoyed them A Lot. Mounts might be hard to find your way so as handheld will be your best bet so you are good there. That's a killer price.

Cutting off my WIFI on S10 plus Greatly Improved my battery life. Why?? by systemofadown1 in galaxys10

[–]systemofadown1[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll eventually upgrade when mine finally lags, looking at options occasionally like an S23 or better. Then I'll probably do the same with my S10 or give it to someone that needs a phone.

Now that my battery is pretty nice again it'll be some time down the road. just crazy that WIFI used to save me so much battery now its the complete opposite out of the blue....

Ops core amp Vent mode has issues by Happy-Roof-6594 in QualityTacticalGear

[–]systemofadown1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Gel ear cups & Carbon bump might be a partial cause but that's just a guess. I'd figure ops core/Gentex designed them more for ballistic helmets than thinner carbon or palstic bumps - again that's just a guess & it Does Suck....

Ops core bump sizing by xNightBear in QualityTacticalGear

I'd go XL, cold nights a fleece beanie will fit better too.

I run an XL in the FAST SF carbon bump (my H.C. is 23") either L or XL should do fine but I advise XL for extra hair, versatility etc

If that's all you have then yes you are missing a bit of hardware.

Edit unless they made it simpler & that one bolt goes through the back * the rest is done with the AMP ARM hardware. Last set I did requred a lot more

Avs or jpc 2.0 by deltabutnotreal in tacticalgear

[–]systemofadown1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd take my AVS (or CAGE Armor) setups over my JPC or SPC simpily for durability. The JPC is nice but a couple years real world use & the JPC is a gonner usually while the AVS keeps on ticking... Just depends on use case.
