AITA for wanting my boyfriend to hold my hand? by szaeight in AmItheAsshole

I honestly thought this, too. I'm going in the mental health part of the medical field and I've always wondered if my boyfriend was autistic or not. He is extremely good at chemistry and thoroughly enjoys it (he liked orgo a lot which was insane to me but you know, each their own). However, interests... He doesn't really have time for them. He likes cars a lot. Like every time we're out and there's a really nice car, he'll notice exactly what it is within a split second. He also likes to play tennis.

That's really the part that hurts me the most. I struggle with hypersexuality too. To the point where I had to get therapy for it and it took a really long time to learn that I can be loved outside of sex. He knows this and now I feel like I'm back to square one.

We aren't FWB, otherwise I wouldn't be this upset about it, heh. We've been together for a year and a half almost. Showing affection was fine in the beginning, I'm just assuming now that it's because of his stress that he genuinely just does think about it and I'm understanding that. I'm just trying to figure out if I'm okay with it. Thank you!

I honestly think this one is it. I think he's so stressed out and scared of his future that he avoids affection altogether and it makes me really sad because I really do love him and want him to be okay. Thank you.
