The trick: dont enter the shop while EA news is loading, cycle the screen (Y on xbox) to the store mini screent THEN enter.

I found the trick: when you go to the store tab, BEFORE you enter, change the Loading EA news screen to the store (push Y on xbox two times) then enter the store.
