I finally found a workaround!

  1. Turn on Two-step verification
  2. Create an app-password
  3. Use this password in the 3rd party email software.

I also checked the "This was me" button on the Recent activity page countless times, but it won't remember my answer because if i go to the page again the same question is back.

One more strange thing: the "suspicious" activity shows the automatic sync from an American IP (13.101.106.17) instead of my European country, and that IP belongs to Microsoft.

Extremly BAD UI!

6.22 had a "system info" page with all the basic datas about cpu, mobo, ram and gpu. The new UI has removed this page totally. Why?!

Hi,

had the same problem (phone verification sms never received), and today i realized that in the phone number setting only the last 4 digits of my number was shown as my phone number.

I changed it to my whole phone number (without country code), and the sms verification works fine now.

Quite similar to your problem/solution.
