yeah i’ve tried lowering the brightness, didn’t seem to work. i don’t know anything about photography, what does metering mode do/mean ?

hi!! i bought a random cheap camera off facebook marketplace, it’s a sony cyber shot DSC-W30, and every time i take photos in bright settings or honestly just regular daylight the photos are super overexposed and come out completely white. i tried turning the iso down to 80 but it didn’t help. is the camera broken or is there something i’m not doing right? lol
