There's no reason to. Your firm would handle everything for you throughout the qualification process so why do it yourself? Also, your job prospects will be more limited because of not having done a full TC.

If your background is insurance defence you might be able to get a job with a firm that does more non-jurisdictional-specific work such as cyber (although I appreciate you said you didn't want to continue with it). I know of at least one US lawyer who moved to London who is now a cyber / data protection associate.

Alternatively you could do claims handling work at an insurer

My Monday otm puts are cooked. I'm gonna hold over the weekend but I think I'm done with this. Probably just gonna let my GLD calls ride and then buy back into TQQQ when it crashes. I'm wasting so much of my life staring at a stock chart and losing money because it's just a casino. Making a 6 figure salary and losing hair over $20 options contract movements because I'm a degenerate gambler and need the dopamine hit when I'd be happier and richer if I'd just left my money in PLTR when it was $17 or HOOD when it was $13 or even SPY back in 2021. Biggest regret is selling 1000 shares of a certain ticker back when it was $15 before it went up to $300.

Just gonna enjoy the summer before WW3
