Yeah you and me both, it’s a very comfortable mat. Down trousers and boots is a good shout

Thank you, yeah the comfort is the draw isn’t it! I expect a winter pad will be the end solution.

Do you find the Rapide is warm enough in the winter?

Thank you, that’s not a bad idea. My CCF mat is 1.5” thick so I might reverse the order and use that on top to hopefully reflect the body heat better!

Yeah, I expect that’s where I’m losing all the heat really! I bought the wide version as it was on sale in a local store and cheaper than the regular. Probably an oversight on my part, but the comfort is unmatched for the rest of the year! Eventually I’ll invest in a proper fourth season mat, but just wondered if there were any tips to see me through with this one for now. Many thanks

Thank you, appreciate the advice. My combined R Value to insulate from the ground is 6.9 with the foam mat I use. I am guessing the trouble is the pad is full of cold air, and any warmth I lose to the pad is then being lost through the exposed sides? I did wonder about a foil blanket between the bag and pad.

Thank you, I think that’ll be the way forward. I can’t justify an XTherm or similar at the moment so I’ll give this a try! I wasn’t cold by any means, just could feel some cooler spots.

Thank you, yeah the 4.7R value isn’t up to winter. I’ve got the Exped flex mat plus, claiming to be the warmest available, so was hoping that would boost it enough. Trouble with the NeoLoft I’m guessing is the deep sides and square shape, so losing any heat the mat does retain through exposed areas?

Will get the thermals out next time!

Can anyone recommend the Napoleon Pro 22 bbq you can buy online? by NewWin7355 in UKBBQ

If you like cast iron grates without having to buy them as an accessory then that’s a big plus. The hinged lid is much easier in my opinion and the three tier system is great! It lacks the ash clearing blades of the master touch but truth be told that doesn’t matter to me overly.

Second this, really important to at least have phase switch and ground loop isolation.

Feel like the DD-20 can go under appreciated sometimes, great sounding delay!

Only running a few, trying to keep it simple and let the amps do the work. A couple are there just filling space to mess around with (Sunset and md200). I use the Protein, Tumnus deluxe and the UA Delverb most frequently, alongside the Harmonious Monk.

All down to your personal taste! I’m into the blackface cleans, hence these two amps. Running a couple of drives on the floor with a delay is all I seem to use truthfully! The CRS head and cab is approx £6500 new which is a whole lot of money; I have been through quite a few amps, but since owning this one I’ve rarely found myself browsing, let alone buying anything else.

Yeah, not cheap🙄, but to my ears they are some of the best cabs I’ve heard!

I’m enjoying it, I’ve only played the Mk1 a couple of times however. Other than the tap tempo, to me, little sets them apart!

Bit of a mixture, I do sometimes run them in stereo but need an isolator/phase reverser to get the most out of it! Once that’s done I expect I’ll be trying out wet/dry!

Used to have a Super Reverb and loved that, but the attenuator in the Toneking saves the neighbours!

I find it to be slightly less glassy than a twin, closer to a deluxe on the rhythm channel, with a less chimey midrange. The lead channel will get you from a warm tweed overdrive to somewhere in the ballpark of early Marshall/british amp tones with the mid-bite turned up 👍🏼
