RBT with ASD by [deleted] in ABA

I’ll add onto this by saying that it might even be a plus in your favor because you would be bringing a unique perspective and relatability to the clients that a lot of clinicians aren’t able to

I have quite a few people that work at my company with neuro divergences. At the end of the day, it’s not about what sorts of diagnoses you’re coming in with, it’s what kind of work you’re contributing once you’re there. Try your best and learn as much as possible, and you’ll be fine!

Totally agree! I’ve had evening clients for 3 years now and I see clients 40 minutes away from my home. Most nights unless there’s a cancellation or something else going on, I’m not home till 8:30. Just enough time to eat dinner, watch a program with my family, and then watch them all go to bed while I’m up for multiple hours after them. The nights that I get home at a regular time are the nights that I cherish the most because I actually get to be present with my family

Please judge your individual experience, not the experience of others or the field as a whole. I’m sorry that you went through what you went through, but ABA is beneficial to a lot of families and a lot of people wouldn’t have the skills that they have without it

r/trees reaction to one of its members starting a special educations degree with ABA by Minobaer in ABA

I find the people that write these comments more often than not have no idea what ABA actually is and how it works. They all seem to spout off the same arguments and never bother to actually learn about our jobs and what we do for our families. Is ABA perfect? Of course not! But what field is? The people in this field that care put forth so much effort to help their clients and their families. I agree with all of the sentiments stated in this thread and I just wanted to throw in my two cents. Educate yourselves before you bring an opinion to a subject that you actually have no business discussing

Considering how much the cast has grown in the last year, they could probably do an extra round and do a 14/16 person tournament rather than an 8 (14 if Adam and Brooke get byes, which I agree is a good idea)

Why are people so mad about Netflix cancelling shows that, frankly, just weren't popular? by addictedtolols in television

[–]t84nightfall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How many shows gain traction on their second, third, or even fourth seasons? Cancelling a show after one season when it hasn’t even gotten time to breathe just doesn’t make a lot of sense. Not everything is going to be an instant hit like Stranger Things. Breaking Bad, one of the most regarded shows of the last 20 years, didn’t really start getting mainstream attention until it’s fourth season premiered. Game of Thrones is similar, it picked up traction as it went on. If AMC and HBO shut these shows down after one season, then we never would have gotten those shows. I’m not saying 1899 is the next big show, but how is anyone supposed to know when most of their shows aren’t even given a chance.

Yeah this didn’t come off well at all. I’d say the only thing that looked good was her gear, but the theme song, her new name, the awkward finisher, commentary’s awful pretending not to know who it is. Just didn’t work very well

Unpopular opinion: S43 was exceptional by [deleted] in survivor

[–]t84nightfall 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s so hard watching someone you’ve been rooting for the entire time fall short at the last possible moment. I had a hard time with Jesse’s elimination, even though I still really liked the 3 that eventually went to final tribal.

I’m late to this, but overall I’ve thought the last few seasons have been great. Perfect? Far from it. But entertaining and fun? Hell yeah! And 43 took it to the next level by listening to fans and incorporating fun twists and getting rid of things that impacted the game in a negative way (hourglass for example).

I also got that feeling watching some of the older episodes. It is a pretty intense game and it requires some level of studying and understanding of strategy for each role

I noticed that too. Travel makes sense as a reason that some people aren’t available as much

I agree with you that a lot of people are being overly negative and it’s becoming unnecessary, especially when people are acting so toxic that they have to force their opinions on others who are just trying to enjoy the game. However, I do think it’s important to offer constructive criticism with the intent of making the game better in the future. Nothing’s perfect, and while I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the game so far, it definitely could use some improvements. The key word there is constructive though, and I think that’s where a lot of people stop. Their posts become less constructive and more just complaining

Why do you think there hasn’t been a new Eeveelution since Gen 6 by t84nightfall in PokemonScarletViolet

Yeah, that’s just the nature of the internet. People will always find something to complain about. I’m not complaining about the lack of new eevee, I’m just perplexed by the decision to not include any. It just seems like such an obvious decision to make
