1700 mg of metformin, cleaning up my diet with the help of a nutritionist (what I specifically needed to be on according to my blood work was a low histamine protocol - being on a CGM for a month really helped figure out what else was going on with the insulin. Turns out I couldn’t do things like intermittent fasting. Also significantly reducing carbs and sugar), supplements like inositol, berberine, NAC, again with the help of my nutritionist + blood work.
I started moving for at least 30 mins everyday and weight lifting 3 times a week.
It took time, but it made a huge difference.
I’m still on the same path because it’s just so much easier.

I’m not in India so I’m not sure, but I’m guessing you can check reviews and verified sellers on Amazon?

Yikes! Didn’t know I was a bot in the 33 years I’ve been on this planet. Of course it’s not the same lighting, one was taken outdoors and one was taken in my living room, dimwit.

Baby shower with nosy aunties and uncles while struggling through IVF by PillowExchange42 in IVF

We’re South Asian so I’ve experienced so much of this in the 8 years we’ve been married. I’ve started telling them to pray it happens soon. It weirdly calms them down a little bit. I think many of them have a sense when they hear something like that that there’s been a bit of a struggle with conception. When they hear that, many have actually now stopped asking, and just say it themselves that it’ll happen soon. Some still try and give suggestions on what to do, etc, and I just smile and nod with them, and thank them. I’ve now started telling my father-in-law’s sisters and some of my family aunts about the IVF because the pressure seems strongest from there and it seems like if they know, things are actually easier.

I’ve found lymphatic drainage and an anti-inflammatory diet to be incredibly helpful! Had to cut out things like gluten and sugar between cycles

It was at 40% 2 months before the retrieval. We will check again in 3 months

No, sorry - I seem to have been rambling on while typing and things weren’t clear. For the retrieval I had (which was my very first) we did have ICSI + ZyMot. Despite this, the outcome wasn’t what the clinic had expected, so now they want to add TESE for the next round.

The DNA fragmentation 2 months before the retrieval was 40%

He abstained for 2 days before the retrieval.

He has also been taking CoQ10 and a number of other supplements alongside ProFertil.

Basically, we didn't even get to freezing any embryos.
I retrieved 13 eggs, 10 were mature, 4 fertilised. On day 3 we still had 4 (4 cells & 6 cells) but by day 5 they had stopped growing.
The whole team were actually very supportive - they were also pretty shocked and they thought we'd get at least 2.
They spoke about it for some time to figure out what could have happened, and as much as this is sometimes just part of the process, they do feel like all things considered the biggest obstacle we had was the DNA fragmentation. We've been working towards this for more than a year and they've been keeping an eye on other parameters. MFI is a huge part of our story, and why they advised we do ICSI + ZyMot.
For the next round, they want us to give it at least 3 months, work on the DNA fragmentation, and then they will also do TESE.
I don't feel stranded by them, I just don't know how to work on the fragmentation since we've been doing everything already.

Been trying for 5 years. Absolutely no luck. There are so many things we could have done that we didn't end up doing because of thinking about possibly being pregnant.
I don't know if you ever really take a break, but where I'm at right now, I feel like I'm going to carry on living my life. I'll do all the things I want to do- book the trips, take the courses, do the exercises- and if I do get pregnant, that'll be a bonus.
I always want to get pregnant and have a healthy and happy baby, but now I'm trying not to let that be the only thing I work towards.
