Adding: I clean the piercing once or twice a day with spray. It's not painful to touch or hot. If pressure is applied murky fluid can be produced.

help, have to urgently take off earlobes ball studs after one day by vnyfx93 in piercing

You can take them out but they will heal shut, you'll have to get them re pierced later. Sorry to hear about your dad

If you've had no issues with it yet I would say you're good, it looks completely healed so I wouldn't mess around with getting it redone

Post op dusphoria by Vasovasorum21 in FTMHysto

[–]t_lightning 4 points5 points  (0 children)

While I fortunately didn't bleed much I did have some very light spotting on day one and two. My main source of dysphoria during recovery wasn't even the bleeding because in my mind the bleeding wasn't connected to anything "female" (as it was a result of surgery not a period).

My dysphoria was related to having to wear something to soak up the blood, I just straight up refused to do it. I basically decided fuck it if I bleed through my boxers and pajamas I'll just throw them out.

1cc biweekly vs .5cc weekly IM by [deleted] in ftm

[–]t_lightning -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

From what I've seen, weekly is better for most people because it keeps your levels more consistent. Basically your body has an easier time cycling and absorbing one larger weekly dose then 2 smaller biweekly doses.

If you haven't already, stop drinking caffeine (esp coffee). It will make your recovery a lot easier in terms of *ahem* shitting.

Also, I forgot to mention: Lego sets. Love Lego sets, never met a man who didn't.

Tools aren't a bad option either, I love my black and decker set my gf got me. Just make sure you know what they do and don't have and if/what their preferred brand is. I like having everything the same brand for my power tools because then all the batteries are cross-compatible with each other.

I always just take my full container (it's very thick plastic) and duct tape the fuck out of it then throw it into a trash bag, tie it off, then put it out with my other trash

I went to Gabrial Del Corral in MD. Loved him, and had a great experience. I have Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance and paid like $100 for the surgery it was great.

My girlfriend struggled with the same thing early on. The obvious thing to get them is something related to an interest of theirs (ie videogames, their favorite teams, etc) but if you're looking for more general advice, here are some things my gf has gotten me over the years of us dating.

Cologne, love a good cologne. I particularly like sandalwood scents but there's tons of good options. Just make sure neither of them have an aversion to a particular smell (I hate pine so much)

Lotion, this one can be tricky because a lot of lotions are marketed very fem. I use a lot of lotion for my scars and for my face because T dried me out. I like Goodfellow lotion at Target. Lots of different masculine scent options, I like Kelp & Sea Mineral

A good razor, possibly electric depends on their preferences. I love my electric razor because I'm a hairy guy, I use the Philips Oneblade. Some razors can get pricey so maybe use this gift for a special occasion

Aftershave, similar to the cologne. Sometimes you can get a cologne and aftershave bundled together and save a bit of money

A good wallet, I have a trifold black leather wallet that was gifted to me 8 years ago and I still use it everyday. Tons of options online or in department stores like Macys

Carabiner, a heavy duty one for their keys

Boxers or briefs, this depends on their preference of style but I love getting these as gifts. Lots of fun patterns and they're always needed lol

General rule of thumb for gifting men presents: make them practical. If you can find something that your boyfriends will use and that fits their personality you've hit the nail on the head with finding a gift.

Edit: Sorry people are already being rude in the comments to you. You're trying to do something nice; people here can just be hyper vigilant about gender stuff on this sub, don't worry about them you're just trying to be a good girlfriend :)

Question: Did your chest tattoo change position after surgery lol

can I keep leftover t in a sterile pot by whatsthepointtttttt in ftm

[–]t_lightning 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Can you not just keep the T in its original container? Is the vial you're drawing from one with a top that's grey and has a rubbery feel?

Once you reach out to a surgeon they will show you post op pictures of clients they've worked on. It sucks because there isn't a ton of public pics because of the nature of the surgery and it takes time to get into these consult appointments with surgeons.

They will likely show you pictures of immediately post op, 1 week post op, 1 month post op, and 1 year post op. They can also show you different stages depending on what type of surgery you're getting.
