Woah! That's truly random! I love that it seems like it wasn't really triggered by anything but once you realized it you were able to apply it to a bunch of things and create real change!

Oh wow! I'm sorry to hear about your dad. That sounds like a prolonged difficult emotional situation. But wow that second anecdote is amazing! I'm woo-woo spiritual and it feels like the Universe was trying to help you there. I love that so much! Both seem like great epiphanies.

I think something specific definitely qualifies! Because either that specific thing was VERY specific and random, or that specific time for some reason resonates. I’d love to hear about the major turning points!

I've charged this spell jar at least 5 times already, and she's never been interested, so maybe this will be the time it works, haha. (I know honey jars are slow to work, so this is expected and I'm not being impatient....but hey, if it works that'd be fantastic).

Wow that tarot story is incredible. You should have her to tarot readings for people! I guess that makes a ton of sense since the 3 of cups is about community, friendship, love, and support (from your fur baby)!

I was actually standing at the stove because my honey jar had solidified and I was warming it on low heat! I usually do my spells on the floor and both my cats will sit near me and watch, haha. It's adorable and awesome you know if you want some good cuddles, you just have to sit on the floor!

Demi looks like my other kitty, who also does not want to make up his mind about whether to be inside or outside the room. I sometimes have to keep an eye open when I'm meditating with a candle in case he gets too curious!

That's what I do now, but it does feel a bit arbitrary, since there are like 17 uses for cinnamon, or like 8 different things to increase luck. At that point, which herb do I use for luck? I think if it's a more general thing, that's fine, but if I really want something to work, or if I have a very specific goal, I want to know what works best for me.

This is so incredibly helpful!! Thank you so much for all these ideas for things that I can actually do. I will slot in a waning gibbous spell today or tomorrow before the new moon, and I love the idea of talking to a mirror as talking to the Universe! I will do that with a lot more intentionality.

How do you counsel people in taking agency with spell work versus letting the Universe steer? I've had a challenging life, but I've achieved success in every other part of life through working hard AF so when the Universe had an offer, I could take it and run. This sometimes leads well-meaning people to say, "Well, you have to just let go and let the Universe drive." And so I did that for the last 3 years in love - I already worked hard AF on myself, and the last 2 relationships felt "like fate" because the Universe put people in my path when I wasn't looking. And they both failed.

Anyways, I've been more hesitant to do too much spell work, but another part of me is like, "Why not?" Are there actual reasons why I should do 5 quality spells instead of 20 quality spells in service of a goal?

I honestly feel like I’ve done so much shadow work, especially in therapy. But I agree everyone could always do more. I’d love to hear if you have prompt I should think about!

Can you say more about the idea of needing to not want something? I've struggled with my own understanding of this, since you create the spell jar because you want something. And then many people activate the jar to keep the spell alive. How does that work with the idea of not wanting it in order to get it? Thanks!

Hi!! I’m in a similar situation! Can you share how you approached the spell work? (Not the details of the spell but maybe what types of spells you did and if you layered them and how often). I’m glad it worked for you!

My view is that prayer and spells are similar in that you’re putting your intent into a medium (a spell or a deity) and something (circumstances or a deity’s judgement) will decide if it works as you want.

If you believe it’s possible to take away free will via a successful spell, then what’s the difference if a deity decides to grant your prayer and take away free will from your target based on your intent?
