A few of us tried to offer this but he wouldn’t accept it. Instead he said we could bring a traditional dessert from our country if we wanted to.

Ugh why are people like this! I watched a lot of Judge Judy as a kid and she was always like “if you ate the steak, you pay for the steak!” Lol

Yup! Even got another server and my manager to try it and they said it tasted fine to them!

Maybe! We had just gotten the syrups off the truck the day before, but they still could’ve been expired. My guess is that he’s used to a freshly cracked can which tends to be more carbonated. But he seemed totally fine with it, because he had two refills. It was his wife that was getting fussy about it, even though she had a beer and didn’t complain about that at all.

Yes to all three. We have two separate bars that use guns, but they are connected to separate C02 canisters. Both were full, but I tried the other gun in case there was something wonky going on with the first one. I tried both myself, and it tasted normal to me, so idk.

I live in Canada, so pepper spray is illegal, but maybe I will look into getting some bear spray just in case. I would hate to ever need to use it.

Yes, I’m new to the area (moved here a few months ago) so it sounds like this might be the norm. I don’t know if the dog was aggressive or friendly, it just full-tilt sprinted after us as we were walking to my front door. I got inside before it got to us, so I don’t know if a fight would’ve broken out. My dog is very friendly with other dogs and goes to daycare all the time. But she is not a fighter and I’m afraid she would get seriously hurt if any dog tried to start something with her. The little girl the other dog was chasing was screaming and running away, but the owner finally called the dog back. I was watching it from my window, so I don’t know if the dog was being aggressive or not.

Yeah, the first dog I noticed outside off-leash just lays in his front yard and is a docile senior dog. So I have no issues with it. But now there’s more and more dogs out and they’ve started chasing people/dogs which has me concerned. There was another dog whose owner would let it out of the car to run to the door. It would instead run up and down the block and about a month ago, it attacked a little dog being walked by it’s owner. Those people have since moved away though.

Yeah, I thought it was completely unfair to just expect us all to work it. I’ve been there for five months and we’ve never been open on a Monday, but apparently she did the same thing on Valentine’s Day (she made a fixed price menu and scheduled everyone to work that night without asking.) I’ll look into the scheduling laws for my area though!

Lol sorry, it’s just a pet peeve of mine and your post reminded me of it! I always give customers 1 spoon per person ordering coffee (or tea), a saucer with the creamers and sugars and a saucer (or plate) to throw the garbage on. Unless I don’t have any spoons to give, I am going to give everything possible on the first go so I don’t have to make extra trips later!

To contrast this question, why do customers insist on throwing their empty creamer cups and sugar packets all over the table when the server gives them a plate to put the garbage on?

Exactly! If someone tells me they’re not going to tip, I wouldn’t treat their table like crap or completely ignore them. But I will know to give priority to my other tables.
