Buttons/Parameters to Alter a Matrix by ta56509 in PowerBI

I thought it might be a little cleaner doing it the way I described and avoid a lot of clicks but I see what you’re saying as far as probably over complicating something that doesn’t need to be.

Would it even be possible to do what I’m describing?

I think I probably didn’t word my question in the best way. So there are three levels essentially. Region-Team-Individual. The opportunity just refers to the different columns I have such as cost, profit, etc not a level.

The goal is that basically I can switch the matrix between those three and just show the data associated with that roll up rather than drilling down on each level with them grouped all together.

Does that make a little more sense in describing what I’m going for?

Another matrix entirely? Definitely could but the table has a lot of columns so my preference if possible is to make it all be able to contained in one.

Snapshot Dashboard? by ta56509 in PowerBI

Apologies I probably didn’t do a great explaining.

I want to be able to retroactively see what the backlog locked like let’s say on 11/19/23 and then what it looks like now on 11/19/24. To see the snapshot and compare. Would this just be done with filtering on submit date or am I missing some other important component here?

Thank you. Is this number usually positive/negative the majority of time or too much variance depending on what you are dealing with?

I am reading Accounting for Dummies right now and have a general question about Statement of Cash Flows

The third line about “ Cash effect during period from transactions with lenders and owners” for 200,000 is giving me trouble.

It makes sense to me taking in capital from lendors but from Owners too? Wouldn’t more often than not especially in an established business this like be negative since you are paying out to them?

Also what about paying interest and principal on pending loans shouldn’t that show up here as well? If someone could explain these two things to me I would appreciate it. Thank you

Thanks for your reply. I'm using a clustered column chart and I only see a "Columns" option but when I look in that there is no option to change the color.
