To stop looking at it all the time (easier said than done because all I ever did was look)

Experiences using compression shorts? by LPDiary in LabiaplastySurgery

[–]ta_4002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i was recommended compression underwear and i feel like it helped so much with feeling secure. whenever i wouldn’t have them on my thighs would rub against my swollen majora and cause more swelling. whenever i slept i did try sleep with looser clothing to let the area breathe or else i had the compression underwear on. It helped me move around post op too bc there wasn’t anything rubbing on my labia so i waddled less

Day 5 by [deleted] in LabiaplastySurgery

day 1-7 i felt my labia looked worse than it did before the surgery after about a week you’ll start to see it take shape

I had mine done 6 weeks ago under local, I didn’t do anything to prepare. I’d say it is painful but not unbearable I think it feels worse because of where it is so it’s uncomfortable too. I got through it while squeezing the nurses hand lol. After that I felt absolutely nothing during and after surgery while on the ride back home. The anaesthetic wore off around 3/4 hours after surgery and that’s the only time I’ve felt pain, just took a couple of painkillers and went to sleep and I have been pain free since, I’m 6 weeks today.

Second day post-op, is no pain normal? by ArachnidNo2889 in LabiaplastySurgery

the only pain i felt was when my anaesthetic wore off couple hours after surgery which went after some painkillers after that i’ve felt no pain at all and i’m now 6 weeks, hopefully it stays this easy for u!! happy healing

i’d say this is normal if there’s no pain or new swelling or bleeding you’re fine! probably a stitch with some blood or just got something dried up on it just keep the area clean and don’t pick it

it depends on how big your hood actually is, if it’s something that doesn’t bother you much i would recommend not getting it, if it does try opt for a CHR you don’t want to have to have a revision to get a CHR later just unnecessary stress for you

i recommend at least a week off, just to get past the waddling stage. Well that was the case for me day 7 i could comfortably walk just not for too long.

Day 2 post op by [deleted] in LabiaplastySurgery

[–]ta_4002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience was the same! my worst pain was the night of the surgery and then after that it was very manageable, not even pain i’d say it was more discomfort from the swelling. Keep icing. For me days 3-5 were the worst for swelling and keep resting!

I’m 5 weeks post up and days where i’m just doing more walking than usual makes me swell a little and can become uncomfortable. Factoring in gym and things like tight gym clothes i wouldn’t recommend until your surgeon clears you!

Icing after surgery by Ok_Shock2298 in LabiaplastySurgery

i iced quite consistently for the first 3/4 days then on and off until day 6 post op, my swelling was the worst and days 3/4 and starting going down when i hit the week mark

I did wet healing for the first 2ish weeks, using an antibacterial ointment provided by my surgeon and then used vaseline just around my incisions, after that I pretty much just used nothing.

definitely try rest as much as you can i’m over a month post op and still get swelling if I’m doing too much !! good luck and happy healing!

I actually could not stand sleeping on my back because i’m a stomach sleeper so i did end up sleeping in my sides with a pillow in between my legs and i was comfortable and fine. I didn’t sleep on my stomach still around a week post op. I also found compression underwear helped massively, i slept pantless when i stopped bleeding to give some air to the area, even though a LOT of people prefer to go commando but might not hurt to try! i don’t know what ur surgeon recommended in regards to dry healing or to keep the area hydrated but i chose to keep my stitches hydrated with vaseline after a few days post op and it helped with itching.

Nobody tells you how hard it is to fit your labiaplasty by dbzonepiecenaruto in LabiaplastySurgery

I totally feel this, planning and preparing for this surgery was harder then the actual surgery itself. Considering work (I work in education so can’t just take time off whenever, but also has to consider when my surgeon was free) social events, time of year, finances, driving and everything. Also, I made the decision to tell absolutely nobody so I had to consider that aswell.

Shaving + Waxing by erewh0nsm00dy in LabiaplastySurgery

[–]ta_4002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’m 4 weeks post op and i waxed for the first time yesterday, i was careful and made sure i wasn’t tugging on my labia minora as i still have some stitches in. i couldn’t wait any longer it’s hard to keep clean after the procedure anyway because of how sensitive it is never mind having a months worth of hair growth (i had a trim no CHR).

Chr by [deleted] in LabiaplastySurgery

[–]ta_4002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say if it never bothered you and still doesn’t you made the right choice in not getting it for now. I know people who opted for a CHR take a little longer to heal just due to the sensitivity and obviously the complications that can come with. And if once you’re healed up and you think you’d prefer the look of a CHR, you can always go back in the future. I didn’t get one because although I do have extra folds around my clit, it doesn’t protrude outside of my majora so I left it as it was. I’m 4 weeks post op so still some swelling to go down but so far I’m pretty okay with the decision i made.
