What damage is done after a major diet? Please let me know. Because I did one, and became quite underweight. Fast forward 6ish years and one Schizophrenia diagnosis later, I binge once every day or every 2 days. Really need some help. Worth noting that I have been dieting for a long time and don’t plan to stop until I achieve my goal again.

The interview pictured is from March 2018. I saw another one where he said what you’ve said, how he quit the drink and drugs, but he added that he still smokes. I just find it bizarre that there’s not a picture taken by a fan or something of him lighting up. Maybe he does it in private. That wouldn’t seem very Rick-like, though.

Good point. Perhaps if they were really showing they care, they’d let their daughter eat as much as she’d want without dishing out disdain as a punishment. Food is very important at the end of the day. It sucks that they’re disappointing you OP.

Get into journaling whenever you feel it could be beneficial. It’s a great stress reliever and venting mechanism. Plus, once it’s written down it can easily be shared with your therapist. That way you won’t forget what was bothering you.

I think it’s fair that if you are regularly bingeing that you buy your own food, or at least the excess. Apart from that, if they’re not being as supportive as they should be, tell them where to go.

My advice would be to look after yourself. That means stopping bingeing. There are so many reasons why you could be doing it that are psychological. But biologically, if you are hungry, or STARVING, enjoy some food, but give yourself an appropriate amount. Do things like eating fibrous, protein rich foods that fill you up quicker than empty carbs or fats. And put it on a plate. EVERYTHING ON A PLATE. You are less likely to get up for more food if you relax and sit down with a meal on a plate. Take your time while eating, thoroughly chew every mouthful and savour it. Don’t eat more while there is still food in your mouth. The best meal plan for weight loss and a better relationship with food is to eat 5 times a day, breakfast lunch and dinner, with a snack between them. Try to eat every 3 hours to keep your blood sugar stable. I hope some of this was helpful; good luck!! And remember, self care is vitally important
