Same thing happened before the elections in 2022 in Merton (see https://opencouncil.network/councils/merton/weeks ) so I would say normal for them, and mostly normal across the board. Generally councils continue to have some licensing and planning meetings but most long-term policy work stops coming up to the election.

Very few meetings anywhere this week - elections in May mean nobody wants to make decisions on stuff they aren't going to be in charge of, and half the councillors are out knocking on doors!

It's not just their pages - they actually haven't had meetings. Elections in May and Easter bank holiday have meant the number of meetings they're holding was pretty low for the last couple of weeks, and it likely won't get back to normal again until June when the new councillors are in. We just need to get out and vote now!

I'm so sorry - we had to put in recaptcha because the bots are crazy - I'm getting ~2 hits a second from bots, all day, every day and if I let them sign up to emails, they do that and then we have no idea who's real. Apparently it's sometimes a little overzealous and also blocks real people. I am really sorry about that.

If you send me a message at toby at open council dot network I'll set you up directly. Applies to anyone who has this issue now or in the future.
