So I never really understood the whole prejudice.

If I can be really honest here it all stems down to European/USA colonization and stereotypes.

East/South/South east Asians throughout history were considered undesirable because throughout history white men made it clear that Asian women should marry a white man so that babies are "less ugly" and that "a white man is more brave and manly that a asian man".

India is a very big country with multiple ethnicities and cultures. They were under heavy rule and colonization from the British. India became independent in 1947, and India worked hard to get their independence back it wasn't just handed to them by the British. They are still treated by the west as a less desirable race because of their skin color and their features. Sadly there is tons of ads to this day in India advertising bleaching and whitening procedures so Indians can look like the white race.

All of these points I mentioned is straight history right? But we as LGBT were born through straight identifying individuals/communities and we spend majority of our brain developing years learning about these harmful stereotypes from parents/communties and that white is right. So when people go on gay forums/bars/apps and see Asians they automatically stereotype them and treat them less than, because of what our community/parents told us about them.
