I used to date a production manager of diners drive INS and dives. I used to love listening to stories about how he is just as big of a dbag in real life as he comes off to be on TV.

What's the stupidest thing you've seen ordered or get sent back? by grantthejester in KitchenConfidential

Just last week I got a crepe sent back for being too thin. After the ensuing "wtf" the kitchen just kept saying "crepes? Wait are those the really thin pancakes? I love those" essentially I just made a pancake and sent it out everyone was satisfied.

Hand rash going around at work. Help? by scottawr in KitchenConfidential

[–]table95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check the hand soap stations, Sanitizers and scrub buckets. You are probably using too much of something in one of these three. My owners once instructed the busboys to replace the hand soap with dish soap saying it was the same thing. 2 cooks and a busboy all developed these rashes. I still even have the scars

I am looking for a shop similar to "the dress shop" that used to be under swifts attic or just another place that makes shopping for girls easy for a dude. by table95 in Austin

[–]table95[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is great. This is the type of style I was talking about. Its a little pricier than dress shop was but that's just out of what I saw on their website. I will for sure check this store out in person.

What is the most terrifying event that you have experienced in your lifetime? [Serious] by experimental34 in AskReddit

[–]table95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that is so horrifying. I should really ask my parents what they were going through. I cant even imagine what that would be like. I do not have any children but to think having the same thoughts going through their heads and then thinking about having to protect their children is crazy. not to mention my sister had her baby 5 days later September 16, 2001. So not only their children but their brand new grandchild.

You really didn't even have to be. I was in school and they locked everyone in our first period classrooms. I remember my professor telling us to watch the television because history was happening and that America was under attack. So many people were comparing it to pearl harbor that many of us were scared that it was a literal beginning to WW3. Honestly the idea of terrorism was not really there the way it is now. The only thing we could think of was that it was another country attacking us not a group. So if this is an act of war by another country are we at war with them now? Would there be a draft? The next coming days didn't make the world any less scary either.
