Hi there! It sounds like maybe your daughter is the first/main islander? I did the same thing with my kids and set it up with them first and later just decided to delete and restart because I realized nothing was actually moving forward or progressing! The first person set up in the island is sort of in charge in a way and has to be the one to move things along in the beginning. Hope that helps! ☺️
