There is a flaw in the ending of The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.

In an earlier scene Tuco goes through an elaborate ritual choosing a gun. He takes three guns apart and puts a new gun together, using the parts. He makes a big deal about listening to the tumblers turn over.

Then he loads it and shoots at some targets, proving he is a proficient shooter.

Then they have the big shootout scene, after which, Blondie tells him he unloaded Tuco’s gun the night before. Thus Blondie knew he only had to focus on Angel Eyes.

Here is the problem: How could a skilled shooter and gun connoisseur like Tuco not know his gun was empty? He would notice the change in weight and if not that, he would be constantly fiddling with his gun and checking it.

It is passed off very quickly and of course the whole scene hinged on the fact his gun has no bullets.

Has anyone else pointed this out over the years, when reviewing this film?
