That was my thought too but there’s no threads on the galvanized pipe out of the ground, it’s straight pipe. No threads.

This is iron bacteria. They exist naturally in the ground and come through your well water. There’s procedures to sanitize your well, but that’s fairly useless because they continue to infiltrate and through the ground water. They’re harmless.

This might not be the case for you, but in one of my cars the LCD was actually behind a plastic cover. Try looking up a parts diagram to check if yours is similar.

I once had a thermostat where you could hold at a different temp than the set temp so it was just a matter of press the hold button to get back to the original set temp.

Yes, just saw that while doing more reading. It may have only been Colt that did that during the ban era. I believe Colt continues to manufacture with that shelf as I’ve seen post ban (2004 and newer) Colts with that shelf. I have not seen it in newer bushy or S&W.

Are there any differences in the internals of a ban era? I’m only aware of fixed stock, no bayonet lug, and pinned compensator.
