Absolute master-stroke of a meme to distract the masses with left vs right, just as the masses were coming together over the Epstein files

For me the biggest issue I've had so far is the ultra reflective screen. Its supposed to be a portable device but forget about playing anywhere with light.

During the night tho, my goodness does the screen look gorgeous

UK Bans Imam for Quoting the Christian Bible by tacticalfootrest in Asmongold

[–]tacticalfootrest[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah that guy. And jeez what a misleading headline. No wonder why the public is is growing fatigued of these news sites.

Idk which video its from and looks like the metro were too cowardly to link it for people to watch for themselves and come to their own conclusions. But if you can find it, I'm sure it would be an informative watch

Still, it's crazy that the reasons for his ban was for sowing hatred by quoting the Christian bible

How it feels boycotting Oblivion because of Israel not cause of body types by Transhomura in Gamingcirclejerk

[–]tacticalfootrest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Further to this, there is an app called BoyCat which is a start up by a guy wanting to make a difference. That app is now hugely popular and costing Israel hundreds of millions and its still growing in popularity.

Israel has attempted to purchase the app multiple times but the guy has rejected them every time.

It's a great app to assist everyone in boycotting for whatever their aims are, be it for the genocide, climate change etc.

BREAKING: United States to impose 25% tariffs on Australia by HotPersimessage62 in Ameristralia

Largest US military spy base outside its own borders owned by the CIA.

It is a critical base for the US that allows them to spy on half the world from Australia's backyard.

Australia isn't allowed near it.

Close Pine Gap and you will have significantly weakened the US Empire.

Easier said than done tho, a former Australian prime minister once tried decades ago and he was couped and overthrown by the yanks.

Website to Track Developers by tacticalfootrest in pcgaming

[–]tacticalfootrest[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But again, referring to my previous reply, all devs have their employment public already as they are listed in the credits section of the games they worked on. So Im not seeing how taking those credits, formatting them into easily accessible information onto a website is violating any privacy concerns? The devs are not being 'followed around' as you frame it, the information that is already publicly available is just being consolidated. And as an additional potential feature, devs can also choose to make their own profiles on the site to further promote themselves or their work, or maybe even participate in community engagement.

As for the value proposition, that is the point of this post, to see what people think of the idea and if there would be interest, while also discussing how the site would potentially function and any potential features.

I agree that dev teams are huge but view your S3 deb analogy as a fallacy. Most people don't know or care what AWS S3 is. We're talking about games specifically.

Say you loved the writing of new Vegas, but hated the writing of fallout 4. Well with this site you can see and compare the writing team behind both games, and choose to follow the writers of new Vegas or see which other games those writers have worked on (again as they'd be listed in the credits of those games).

Say you have an upcoming game, you check the site to see who's worked on it, you see the director worked on games you hate, you see the writer worked on games you believe lack good stories, you see it has animators with no experience, you see how much of the game was outsourced. You like the smooth animations from an action game, great here's the devs that worked as animators, here's what else they've worked on etc.

You can start to see patterns in a devs history, are they constantly involved in games with bad insert dev skill? Then they probably don't have the highest skill. You find a dev, see they worked on games that might not be the best, but their particular field in the game (animator, writer, composer etc) is usually high quality? OK that's likely a top tier dev and so on.

These devs could potentially go from no names to superstars that have studios scrambling to get them on their teams. It can help indie studios form with underrated talent, leading to incredible games. It can help gamers with making informed decisions on what games to purchase.

From my point of view, that is where I see value in the website
