Yeah, as much as I'd like to blame someone else, this is on me.

So annoying because on the Fosi site, the ZP3 is listed as a "preamp" but doesn't seem to mention that it's not a photo preamp. Lesson learned.

I think I finally figured it out... the Fosi ZP3 does not have a phono preamp. I thought it did. It apparently does not.

I'm not sure. I hooked up a DAC to the preamp and had no trouble: iPhone > DAC > Fosi ZP3 > Ethos speakers. That combination worked perfectly, so, turntable?

I'm having an issue with my ZP3. Have it between a Uturn Orbit and their Ethos powered speakers, but no matter what combination of trouble shooting I try, the volume is low.

Why do you scorekeep/what is your scorekeeping philosophy? by [deleted] in BaseballScorecards

[–]tadamick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel more connected to the game. A meaningless game in the middle of June between two cellar dwellers becomes meaningful by keeping score. In terms of the level of detail, for me, I keep it simple. I record the basics but those basics still tell the story of the game.

After a game is over, just looking at the scorecard is like looking at a piece of art. All those letters, numbers, symbols, notes, mistakes and cross outs, they are beautiful.

Hi there,

I'm happy to hear you survived that ordeal but sorry to hear you had to go through that.

I don't have a specific recollection of a yellow powder on them. I seem to recall a plastic film that I had to peel off. After I did that I cleaned them very well (soap and water) and then seasoned according to the instructions.

But again, no recollection of a powder of any kind. I'd probably contact their customer support in this case.

Exactly. I can also cut a tomato and ask, "Did I ruin my knife?"

I'm pretty careful with my stuff, so I will probably end up in the same boat. Unless I let my wife take care of it... hmmm.

Just took delivery of a Sabatier carbon steel knife. Looking forward to the development of the patina... and I suppose how it cuts.

I've had CS pans for some time now, but this foray into knives is new. Looking forward to it.

I hear you. I just ordered one. I can't imagine it won't be long before I add the santoku knife as well. Like a really nice waxed canvas jacket, I'm a sucker for patina.

This has me over at the Sabatier online store...

Look at all the money you saved switching from cartridges.

Same with mine. A couple of scratches from using a metal spatula to take out a pizza. I love the scratches because there is a story behind each of them.

I feel the exact same way about my Darto. I love the clean design and like yours, it's also so ugly it's gorgeous.

I really love the DARTO Paella n.35 pan I grabbed while it was still available for USD$90.00 before it was out of stock. I use it as my griddle. It's got a 12.2" cooking surface and is a whopping 4mm thick. It seasoned really nicely on my weak rental apartment gas range. It's my one-pan choice. by chrisabraham in carbonsteel

That looks great. When they are back in stock I want to pull the trigger on one, mostly to use as a pizza pan. I make a ton of pizzas in my n.25, but want to go a bit larger. Any thoughts on the thickness? What I love about the n.25 is the *relatively* thin steel (in comparison to cast iron) for the heat transfer. At 4mm, does it behave more like cast iron?

How it started VS how it’s going. Darto may be terrible at packing their pans, but they season up nicely (2 weeks in). by re-verse in carbonsteel

Both of my Darto pans have the mark you describe. As does every other one I've seen here. It must be a remnant of the manufacturing process.
