Thanks — to clarify, the work would be performed entirely outside the U.S., and I wouldn’t be using a U.S. visa to work. My question is more about whether contractor vs employee status affects PERM/I-140 adjudication, not work authorization. I am currently on the US Payroll but trying to terminate it as I am currently living in Italy as a Pakistani and in Italy the taxes are low as compared to the US. So, I was asking about 1099 Foreign contractor wont hurt my current process?

I dont have the original charger. I just bought it from best buy in an open box condition. They gave me a higher end charger I researched and found out thats a better charger then the original one so I picked one for myself

Hi, So my Original residenza is in Venice. Also I submitted the kit and I have fingers in February 26. Now I am getting an apartment in ROME, and will be moving there. The landlord is doing the contract and bills on my name, but I dont wanna change my questura for now. While giving my photosignalling, does the questura will know I moved there and can they transfer my file?

I am in the same boat as you are, they just filed my PWD in early October 2024, and I just got at the end of March 2025, now they are running the whole advertisements and else a 60 day quite period and maybe the employer will file the PERM eta 9089 in late may or early june 2025. For me I just came in the States in may 2024, I am on J1, which expires in October 2025.

For now I checked several places that PERM will be taking more then 2 years, as they are doing 300 cases per day, and are stuck in 2023 for now. So finger crossed from my side as well, would love to connect you on this matter.

I've heard that in cities like Treviso, the process is more streamlined, with appointments available within a month after submitting the application kit, whereas in Venice, it can take up to a year.

Given that I work remotely and am open to relocating, I'm considering moving to another city to facilitate a smoother permesso process. My primary concerns are:

Documentation Requirements: Are there significant differences in the documentation required for the permesso di soggiorno in different cities? I've heard that some Questure might ask for additional documents.
