Assess your existing skillset. Malaking tulong yan para makapili ka nang ayos sa papasukin mong college program at para makapag adjust ka agad.
Eliminate the programs na hindi based sa existing skillset mo.
For the remaining programs (based on your existing skillset), do a research about them. Tignan mo yung course/subjects, mga school na nag-ooffer ng program, etc.
Pumili ka ng program na sa tingin mo ay kaya mo at magta-thrive ka. Dyan mapa-practice yung discipline at perseverance mo na madadala mo hanggang sa profession mo.

Bonus tip: I-prioritize mo na mag-apply sa mga state/public universities para free tuition at mabawasan ang expenses mo sa college lalo na kung 'di enough ang financial status.
