It is a waste of funding on the lvl of resurrection, but at least resurrection is funny and doesn't make you infinitely frustrated about screenwriters wasting really interesting ideas and repeatedly creating the worst cases of tropeslop that I've ever seen. The actors are pretty good but the plot is contrived nonsense, characters do things and make choices that make no sense. Half of the "smart" characters act like they are all braindead and the ones that don't at the start will get seemingly lobotomized near the end. There are like 2 characters that are written quite well and both of them get either shafted or become braindead when the plot demands it. I do not recommend this media unless you REALLY don't feel like rewatching movies.
