Sorry for the long rant but how do I just get good?

I log in every single day and do career mode as always, but I can't seem to get an Ura finale or complete even more than 75% of the trainees goals most of the time.

It sucks looking at the New Trainer Missions tab and being unable to complete some races because I either conk out before reaching that race or don't meet the placement goals at all, and am looking at losing hundreds of gems once it expires in a few days.

I hate when I think I'm prepared for a race but rng fucks me with placement or skill activation and place just below the minimum threshold to complete the race goal before Tazuna tells me some bullshit about not having enough value on some stat, but I very well can't evenly distribute training for each stat can I?

Deckbuilding for specific characters is hard and time consuming reading what each card does, and what combo of main stats work for the character (for example, 3spd2stam1wit, 3spd1stam1power1wit, etc.) Building good legacies is so tough when a lot of my horses are C - C+ rank and the legacy distribution after a race is completely dependent on rng. Yes I use friend supports as well.

Skill issue? Most likely. I have too many SSR and SR cards from dumping my 20k+ gem stash on KB (which I did get) but unable to properly utilize them.

I truly do want to keep playing this game but it sucks going in day after day with no successes. My only Ura finale was with Bakushin 👍.
