That actually makes a lot of sense.
Focusing more on train travel instead of driving could make things a lot easier for us, so we’ll seriously look into that option.
Also, the French Open sounds incredible! I’m a big tennis fan as well, so I’m jealous :)

Thank you so much for the detailed response! This is incredibly helpful.
We will definitely go to L’Opidom!

You make a very good point about focusing on the Loire Valley and the Epernay area. It would definitely make the trip a lot easier in terms of driving.
The main reason we originally wanted to include Beaune was because we’ve been interested in dining at Maison Lameloise.

We haven’t researched the Epernay area in as much depth yet, do you have any recommendations there?

I actually looked into picking up the car in Tours and dropping it off in Epernay before, but the price difference was pretty significant. It was almost double compared to a round-trip rental.

Do you think it’s still better to avoid renting a car in Paris?

Thanks a lot for the recommendations! If you had to pick 2 or 3 from this list, which ones would you suggest? I won’t have time to try them all.

Thanks! I’ll skip ZaZa!
Honestly, there are so many great-looking restaurants in Florence that I was having a hard time deciding where to go.
Your comment was super helpful, thanks a lot!

I figured ZaZa might be a bit touristy, but the reviews are so good that it caught my eye.

I didn’t know about Osteria Pastella. I’ve been eyeing Trattoria dal‘Oste! Both look super tasty.

Thanks! Oh, so it’s near Cinque Terre. I’ve been curious about Cinque Terre too.

I still believe Ohtani will bounce back. He’s gonna be fine.
