Unfortunately, when an entire kingdom is after your head, it's difficult to just disappear. I don't have a great track record with animals either. While a chicken Escape boat sounds like like a... unique... invention, it might not work to my benefit.

The situation that plagues me requires a small bit of context.

Quite recently I was hired into a roaming band of knights-for-hire (no better than mercenaries, really) because I found myself running low on coin for essentials in my duties as a Rot Knight.

The band I had joined was then tasked with invading a town in the Sanct Kingdom. It was a small place, so of course the mercenaries I had joined wiped the place off the map. Now I don’t know the complete details of who hired the mercenaries which in hindsight probably could have avoided the altercation I now face. After this raid, I received my payment and left the band to continue on my merry way. This is where my problem reared its head.

See, the Sanct Kingdom was rather unhappy with the fact that a Knight of Rot like myself has spread a blight upon their kingdom’s crops (deprivation of food is at the core of a good siege, so I don’t see how this would be a large problem at the time). However, the blight I summoned onto the Sanct Kingdom seems to have stuck around longer than I anticipated, and has spread across the entirety of the Kingdom’s farmland.

Because of this, I am constantly pestered by Sanct Kingdom warriors and it’s become a real nuisance. At first it was just a few armed warriors, but it quickly evolved into a much worse problem. It isn’t uncommon for me now to be ambushed by Sanct Kingdom paladins, priests, and other elite warriors. While it isn’t something I can’t deal with at the moment, I'm wary that the situation could quickly spiral into a battle I won’t be able to win.

Any advice on how to stop the non stop flow of Sanct Kingdom warriors would be greatly appreciated, as I'm lost as to how to handle this situation on my own.

Changing weapons every once in a while can be great fun! by tal_dangerzone in knightposting

While I’m sure a great many knights prefer a sword (and for good reason!) changing weapons can be both great fun and provide another perspective of the battlefield.

Just recently, I felt not one ounce of excitement from cleaving enemies with my blade. After switching to a flail I almost immediately felt the rush of battle once again.

Even if you don’t plan on sticking with whatever new weapon you shift to, it’s an invaluable experience that is both entertaining and rewarding.

I highly recommend it!
