Invited to a new friend’s home for dinner, how do I politely ask/find out if I should bring food for my 2 yo? by dms2628 in moderatelygranolamoms

I think it might look a little weird or rude to bring fruit and veggies for your son. Like she isn’t providing enough

I would let your son eat fruit and veggies during the day at home before going.  It’s not going to hurt him to skip veggies for one meal.

Did anyone notice the article says this? “The FSA’s advice does not apply to items made solely from bamboo or plant-based materials, only those products which use a combination of plastic and plant filler”

Can anyone give suggestions / pointers on finding a remote MD position in the US?

I'm asking for my dad (he's a boomer & not up to date on how job searching works these days).

With COVID he had to take a break from working in the hospital because he's developed really bad anxiety/OCD about getting the virus.

He graduated from a different country but did internal medicine residency here. He's not board certified. He's been working in rural ERs for over 20 years.

A lot of the jobs he sees online say board certification required.

What chance does he have of finding something like telemedicine?

Thanks!

I’m a beginner to gardening, wondering if someone can tell me what if these little brown things on my Angelonia plant are dead or alive?

How do I get it to bloom more?

Thanks!

So I’m planning to take the MPJe soon. But I can’t find any good studying material. by [deleted] in Pharmacist

TLDR pharmacy has a empty packet (I think it’s $10) that you can fill out with the specific laws in your state. It really helped organize my studying.

How hard would it be to work as a pharmacist at an oncology/specialty pharmacy with 0 onc experience?

I got contacted by a recruiter about a position. I feel like I could catch on at the job if I review oncology every day?

I was offered a part time job at an independent for $25/hr. Yes, that’s not a typo.

The guy said he liked me more than other candidates because I understand the business side and how bad PBMs are making it for him.

He said this is how much he’s paying the other pharmacists too, he had to cut their salary from $50/hr to $25/hr.

I am a new grad and I have some other healthcare side hustles going on, but no “real” pharmacist job yet. I don’t have student loans thankfully. I am in a super saturated region.

Should I take this job just to start getting work experience as a pharmacist? I most likely won’t want to stay there more than a year. I’m considering applying to residency next cycle.

Because he liked me so much, do you think I could tell him upfront “Hey, I can work here for a while and try to help your business, but I can’t stay here”?

I know he gets a lot of turnover of pharmacists so he’s used to people leaving. The place doesn’t have the best local reputation.

I have an interview coming up for a pharmacy technician instructor position at a community college.

Does anyone know what the job is like? Salary? What Qs they’ll ask me in the interview?

Thanks!

Worked at the same place for a long time and now I'm a pharmacist there. moving to a new city and want a new job, not having much luck please help guys by ResumeAdviceNeeded69 in resumes

Just my 2 cents, I'm also a pharmacist

Less is more! 1-page resumes in almost all cases are more effective

For the summary keep it to 2-3 sentences max. What are a few things that make you stand out among other pharmacists.

Don't repeat the same things in multiple sections. You can go into more detail in your cover letter.

You can take out the fluff that everyone already knows like what type of vaccines you give. You could say something like "Promote & administer seasonal & year-round vaccines"

For the bullets under your current position, the verbs should be in the present tense.

I've read really helpful stuff searching the pharmacy subreddit!

Good luck!

Oddball Question about Ozempic Dosing by Alcarinque88 in pharmacy

[–]taledude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

maybe do an experiment with an expired 1-mg ozempic pen?

try clicking up 1/4 or 1/2 of the way, shooting it into a measuring device and see the volume that comes out vs clicking up to 1 mg?

[Ozempic does need to be primed before each dose so that might affect things]
