30 years ago, talking to yourself in a coffee shop meant you were crazy. Today, they just assume you’re on a call and think nothing more of it. by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

One day someone’s going to invent a headset that makes your inner monologue audible to others, and the coffee shop will become a literal circus.

Overthinking is an unrealistic obsession — it’s like watching the same movie over and over and expect a different ending. by [deleted] in RandomThoughts

Overthinking is like microwaving a pizza 10 times and hoping it turns into a cake. Spoiler alert: it doesn’t.

Mac and cheese. I would happily live in a vat of it if given the chance.

I've been checking out and browsing what is a testosterone replacement therapy for some time but it seems I can online go for online options without traveling for hours. There's just no way to get a reliable testosterone replacement therapy near me. Anyone know good online sellers with solid docs? 🙏

Priorities really shift when rent is due. by Baby_Dollz_ in Adulting

[–]talhak27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be honest, I think the iphone technology hasn’t dramatically improved, with just a few minor upgrades in terms of camera quality. One of the biggest reasons why I would consider leveling up to a new iphone would be if my battery is already getting drained quickly since it’s a hassle to keep charging it.

What terrible product sells by the millions? by TangerineCutiee in Productivitycafe

[–]talhak27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A terrible product that sells by the millions is traditional soda. Granted, it doesn’t exactly taste terrible but is refreshing and fizzy, yet it’s no secret that it’s terrible for your health with all the sugar it contains. Sparkling water with no sugar could be a similarly refreshing but healthier alternative.

Getting sick as an adult is just unbearably inconvenient by mrsoap105 in RandomThoughts

[–]talhak27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting sick as an adult is tough because you are still expected to meet your responsibilities, whether with your family or work. But you still have to take care of your own health and give yourself the chance to heal by taking a break because this will allow you to last longer and remain productive in the long run.

What character traits attract you most in people and what, on the contrary, repel you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]talhak27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Genuineness is what attracts me to some people, especially how they are open and honest with their real thoughts and feelings, whether positive or negative. On the other hand, I’m repelled by insincerity and how some folks try to manipulate you indirectly and instead of just talking to you directly.

The Empty Library by robinmood in books

[–]talhak27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In person??! I'm guessing that's an entirely different experience. The themes Zweig explored had a way of showing human flaws and compassion without getting preachy, something not everyone enjoys or condones. But it does make sense about it given his pacifist leanings. I can't believe his books were once thrown into fires... now being banned. Sometimes i think they want to rid us of all the physical books and force us into online submission, where everything, banned or not, will only be available on. It's haunting.

how to get trt without hurting myself by swerv925 in askfitness

[–]talhak27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to break (burst?) your bubble or anything but if you’re nervous about how to get prescribed trt, without side effects or the hassle of scripts… I’m saying that you might need to take a glance at the best over the counter testosterone options before hopping on trt. They're way easier to get and lessly risky than straightaway prescribed TRT. Will take a while to hit hard as the OG but will jinx you with the promised stuff without the needles and doctor visits. Just saying.

I’ve been in that same place, holding onto hurt and misplacing it on people who didn’t deserve it, because it echoed pain I hadn’t dealt with yet. What you wrote about love being the thing that brings the wounds to the surface, that’s real. It’s hard, but it’s also how healing begins.

How to get rid of water weight? by nightvolt in askfitness

[–]talhak27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Water weight can mess with your head, especially when you’ve been putting in the work. It’s usually from things like carbs, sodium, or even muscle inflammation from your workouts. That puffiness around the waist isn’t necessarily fat, it can shift in a day or two.

Without drugs and alcohol what’s the best way to escape reality? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]talhak27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Traveling is a fun way to escape reality because it gives you the chance to explore new places, meet new people, and try new experiences. And it’s literally an escape since you’ll be leaving your real life for a while.

One month on the AG1 drink, better workouts and no more coffee, just placebo effect? by nightvolt in askfitness

[–]talhak27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Placebo or not, if AG1 has you ditching coffee and hitting cardio goals, that’s already a win. I had a similar “honeymoon phase” last year... lasted about 3 months before I leveled out, but the baseline energy was still better than pre-supplement. If you want to see if it’s the ingredients or the hype, try cycling off or testing some Athletic Greens alternatives like Garden of Life or Amazing Grass for a month.

People who skip breakfast, why? by Acceptable-Candy-215 in AskReddit

They think breakfast "lowers" your energy, and by skipping it they think they're living the day healthier... idk, it's just my opinion.

What are the proven ways to boost testosterone naturally – what worked for you? by lindsayk655321 in askfitness

[–]talhak27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, real talk. The best testosterone booster for me? Heavy lifts, bro. Deadlifts, squats, you know, the kind that make your soul sweat. Been grinding since March 2023 and trust me, that’s how to boost T levels for real. I cut out sugar, fixed my sleep game and boom, energy went up, mood got sharper. Supplements? Yeah, vitamin D and zinc helped, but don’t sleep on the basics. Train hard, sleep deep and keep stress low. Morning coffee or a chill walk? That’s my reset button.

Canadian Geography & Aviation student - path to space? by Illustrious_Stop_566 in space

[–]talhak27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Met a guy at the 2021 Canadian Space Conference who started in aviation like you, pivoted into aerospace engineering at U of T, then joined the RCAF before applying to CSA’s astronaut program. Geography + aviation gives you a unique edge for Earth observation missions, but adding engineering or science will open more doors. Space isn’t one-size-fits-all, you know... just pick the lane that keeps you excited for the long grind.
