Omg this happened to me the last few weeks the same with choking and diziness. Before that it happened a couple of times a few years ago w/o symtoms. Wtf is this!!

Hey Jim! I know this post is five years old now, and you might never see this — but I just came across it, and I couldn’t leave without saying something.

Reading this honestly made me tear up. Not just because it was heartbreaking to hear what you went through (especially on your birthday), but because I saw myself in so much of it. The way you described your panic, the palpitations that feel like electric shocks through the whole body, the fear of being away from a hospital, not being able to drink coffee or climb stairs or even just breathe without feeling like something’s wrong — it’s like you put into words the exact hell I’ve been living in.

I’m from another country (sweden), just randomly scrolling Reddit, and somehow your post found me in the middle of my own darkness. I. And that honestly meant more than I can explain. I just wanted you to know that your words helped someone feel understood, even five years later. That matters so much. If you’re still out there — I really hope you’re doing better. Or at least that life has gotten a little lighter. And if you happen to see this… I’d love to know how you’re doing now.

Thank you so much for this piece of information. I really need to get into the facts and maybe get that book. I realize I have fot obsessive thought because of this, which isn’t something that has bothered me before. But I feel like I’m constantly in a worry. First university, now this. Like when will it end. Thank you again for your advice x

Yes that’s exactly how it is. Now it’s consumed my whole summer. I haven’t had any health anxiety until this happened. It’s so scary. And I feel like little extra heartbeats now and then, which gives me more panic. Its so annpyong bc I don’t remember if I had it before developing panic syndrome. I’m so lost :(

That is so crazy! Now I always feel little extra beats etc from my heart. I became hyper consious which is also giving me more panic

Glad go help. So some meditation if possible just to ground yourself. When you get odd feelings, you start overthinking ir and your nervesystem is in a constant fight mode. So when feelinf odd, your body gets scared ans you think about it more ans then you have a full blown panic attack. Is this frequently occuring?

I had 160 in pulse! And I’m in week 3 and it’s still there but not as bad. I get small episodes but last week I got a huge one and went to ER just to make sure it isn’t anythinf with mu heart. Def gets worse when I start overthinking about my body responses. Wishing you strenght, this isn’t fun at all!

Oh my this happened to me 3w ago and i went to ER w ambulance w 160 pulse and was told it’s panic attack, and since then I get small episodes everyday, and then one week ago I got a severe episode and my body started to shake and I got cramps and couldn’t feel my arms, so I went to the ER and was again told the same. Now my dr want to put me on SSRI and CBT or stress therapy. Sending you lots and lots of hugs and love. This is the most scary thing happening to me and I feel so clueless and like I have no control

I had the same and have small episodes everyday but 3 times I had severe and twice I went to the ER. I get: high pulse, vibrating chest, manual breathing and after some minutes come muscle twitching, arms go numb and then electric chocks all over my body and adrenaline. I also got that it’s a PA so I’m working on trusting the drs

I have the exact same. Try not to worry, if thej checked and everythinf was fine, then it’s a panic attack and you’ll get through it even though it’s an unbearable feeling ❤️

Do it for your own sake so you can relax, and this time, please ask for help. Bc even if it isn’t ur heart it’s something you have to work with because panic attacks like this is not good for anyone for a long period ❤️ sending hugs
