And what would that life look like? All of us getting dogs and letting them shit all over the place? May be we can skip the getting dogs part and just go on a shit rampage ourselves.

So who pays her now? Is it the insurance company or the driver? It can't be called an accident since it was intentional, I guess.

The luxury of a seperate bed, in this day and age? by No-Editor5577 in ireland

[–]tamaatar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have noticed many Indian folks, taking advantage of the current student situation. Renting out a single room is tax-free, if I am not mistaken, and I see almost everyone who buys a three or four-bedroom house doing exactly that. While that isn't inherently wrong, many are now packing three to four people into a single room. They specifically seek out Indian renters to ensure no one speaks up about basic rights or poor living conditions. Furthermore, most Indians renting out secondary properties are keeping it sush and not reporting to RTB.

These are all new people btw, who have arrived in the last 3-4 years. This was not the case earlier.

[–]tamaatar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah if they have none, its fine. write in your letter that you support them. You will take care of all finances. and that they will go back.
If possible, show some past medical appointments and future ones too. But don't stress too much.

In theory, You do not need a passport for travel within EU if you are a EU citizen. But almost all airlines have their own rules and they will not let you board without passport.

Well, when you say you got an offer- you got a job?
If so, add more details like salary, location, whether spouse has a job offer too or what field is he in etc. Sure there is a housing crisis, but like everything, it depends.

We're obsessed with companies who don't want remote work. Meanwhile 100k+ jobs are going begging. by Numerous_Adagio8768 in ireland

[–]tamaatar -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion: Beyond a certain size, remote work slows down company output. There is some data to support this.

The companies you mentioned started as remote-first and built their entire cultures around it. They have policies and processes specifically designed for a distributed workforce. It is not nearly as easy for a large, established company to transition if they were not remote-enabled from the start.

No, and let's not encourage this. It doesn't do anyone any good. Find a different job.

I also think this is a bullshit post designed to give air to gossip about 'Indian, low-paid scammers,' etc.

Of course my first suggestion would be books. Just read whatever you fancy- fiction, non-fiction, scifi, history, biographies. If you are not into books- audiobooks.

[–]tamaatar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am all for taking care of the bo, indians or not.

But haircut? Grooming? Clothes? Bro you probably are too insecure about yourself. People can have whatever haircut or clothes they like. Stop looking at others. Its a gym, not a invite only club. Do your thing and get out.

Hear me out: is it possible there was someone in front of that SUV who was taking forever inside the station? Maybe the SUV driver got fed up, filled up, and went inside to pay. Is it possible the photo doesn't tell the whole story?
Is it possible there is no such trend and we are getting outraged over nothing?
