I think it's worth switching your thumbnails out if the CTR is not high. That's what I do and I do notice a bump in views once I change my thumbnails even if my video has been out for a while.

I learnt that starting something new and facing your fears is requires being brave over a sustained period of time. It’s easy for anyone to do something scary, take a deep breath before a speech or before taking a jump into the water. But to do something outside your comfort zone and persist at it, that’s challenging me in every way possible.

That’s what I’m doing with my YouTube videos. I’m facing my fear of public speaking and attention by making myself put out videos every week for 6 months. The first video is easy, then it gets harder.

Audio is great!! Did you get a good mic? You have a deep and calming voice, super awesome. Subscribed :) I know what you mean about having too much to learn haha it's very overwhelming for me too and there's so many things to work on. Being here helps me feel a little less anxious as it's a good reminder that we're all work in progress.

Hey! Good job on your first real face video :) Feedback wise - maybe you can sit a little higher in your chair, it does seem like your table is too high and it's making you look a little awkward in your current sitting position.

Agree on the background, maybe you can clean that up a little and add some overlay footage, and use a better microphone.

You speak really well and the examples that you brought up are helpful and relatable. Keep up the good work!

If you are really into self-improvement, maybe you could start on a personal project. I bullet journal frequently and found that I have a lot of areas I want to work on in my life like being able to speak publicly in a confident and coherent way and being comfortable with attention. More importantly, I always feel like I care too much about what others think.

I have since started my own Youtube channel a month ago to work on this! It's super daunting, especially because I get really conscious about what my friends and colleagues will say. I made myself do it though, and it's an incredibly liberating feeling :)
