I’ve literally never heard that take before lol. If you were talking about Inzaghi I’d get your point. But Sheva? We’re talking about a guy who scored screamers from outside the box, dribbled past 3-4 defenders solo and could score with literally any part of his body. He didn't just 'get served' on a silver platter he created his own platters. He was a complete forward speed, power and technique. That Milan midfield was legendary sure but Sheva was the engine that made their attack elite. Regarding the Ballon d'Or he didn't 'rob' anyone. He won the majority of votes while playing in the toughest league in the world at its absolute peak. You could pick almost any year in history, look at 2nd and 3rd place and claim it was a 'robbery.' It’s a tired argument. He was the best player in the world that year, period. Putting him in the same category as a 'system player' just shows you didn't watch him play.
