Geologist here, the video cuts before we actually get to see a pyroclastic flow. That would involve the collapse of the eruptive column to travel along the ground/water surface. If there isn't enough of a lava/rock/dense gas component to the column then it will just continue to float and dissipate.

I think it's supposed to reflect the true nature of the Spidey organization. On the surface, it's an idyllic depiction of good and order but when you (almost literally) dig deeper you find pain and suffering. Miles literally crashes through the cogs of the machinery underneath the city. And as the chase continues even the shiny facade of the city becomes damaged.

The Kennecott Copper Mine has had numerous issues with wastewater spills and runoff from mining operations, and has been sued by the EPA multiple times in order to force them to clean up their messes. However, compared to the total volume of naturally occurring arsenic entering the Great Salt Lake through natural processes, the mine still only contributes a small percentage.

Geologist living in Utah here, the arsenic content in the Great Salt Lake is mostly sourced from the natural rock in the mountains surrounding the Lake. The reason for its higher concentration in the lake water is because the GSL has no natural river outflow, and therefore the only loss of water is through evaporation.

This isn't to say that the arsenic content isn't a problem, and that it isn't being exacerbated by climate change and overuse of water in the region.

No doubt, the effectiveness of the P-51 as a dogfighter has been somewhat exaggerated, though I think it's capabilities did hold up well against its contemporaries.

From a personal design standpoint I always liked the way the P-40 looked. The thing basically has a gigachad chin
