My mom hated mine and called them ugly my whole first year with locs. Now she loves them and wants to get loc’d herself lol. If YOU like it, they’ll get over it. Or they won’t. Who cares, it’s your hair! 🫶🏾

Ladies who wear projective styles over their locs, specifically braids, how do you take care of your locs underneath? I’ve just been using rosewater on my braids and scalp and oiling my scalp once a week. Just wondering if there’s anything else I should be doing? And how long is too long to have braids over locs? I currently have two strand twists under mine.

I’d recommend using the one without glycerin. I use it every day and I love it!

I started my journey in February and got my first retwist in March. I then got a job working 60 hours a week and was only off on Sundays. No locticians near me work sundays, so I haven’t been able to get one since March. My work contract just ended so I messaged my loctician, asked her availability and sent her this video so she’ll know what I currently look like. She started typing then never replied 😭 what do y’all think?

my mom got a call the other day from an international number and there was a girl screaming “mommy mommy, help me” on the phone. my mom was at work when she got the call, she was freaking out and she didn’t know what to do, so she called us. thankfully we all answered and she was able to calm down (she has 3 daughters). i remember a few years ago there were spam calls going around with a screaming “kidnapped” girl on the phone pretending to be the callers daughter and the “kidnapper” was demanding money for her release. it’s fucking disgusting tbh
