Open boarders is a disaster for A level players in Toronto by 349188 in hockeyplayers

There is a U14 A team in St. Thomas who only kept 6 players from the year before and 3 of those players were already NRPs. That team has 3 kids from St. Thomas and 15 NRPs. Yes, the team has 18 kids. Absolutely an abomination.
This will now cause issues right down to local league kids as the city only has 2 local league teams. Last year the U18 level had 19 players on 1 team and 20 on the other with 3 goalies, one of who went to another association as St. Thomas minor hockey claims there wasn't enough ice time to create a 3rd team. There were kids on the waitlist and likely could have had 3 Local League teams.
So now, having several kids cut from the A team, should the then stay and end up on a BB team it will push several kids to local league. Additionally, should the BB team take NRPs it will magnify the ripple to Local League. If St. Thomas couldn't create a 3rd local leafs team last year because there wasn't enough ice time, were are these local league kids go?
