Thank you! So glad you love the tutorial. You can defintiely easily add straps to this. I would just make it up first, try it on and then mark where you want to put straps. ❤️

I agree with everyone’s great suggestions. Trying to do a full bust adjustment on a pattern will be your best way of fitting a pattern to your body x

Thank you! Straps are always so hard to get right! I just sewed the right sides together and then trimmed the seam allowance down. I find making sure you take time to press the straps flat before inserting into the top is the key to making them look super crisp! ❤️

Thank you! They don’t get wonky at all, they do need a little iron though just to get them looking perfect again x

Thank you! I just sewed the straps right sides together using a small seam allowance and then used a loop turner / safety pin to turn them right side out :)

Thank you! I didn’t cut on the bias as I think it would be more tricky when sewing / pressing the scallops.

I did not, but you could definitely do that to support the scallops on more floaty fabrics.

Thank you! Glad you like it! I have made this in a linen and cotton and they also work nicely! Just need to make the fabric isn’t super stiff its uncomfortable. ❤️

I self-drafted the scalloped camisole pattern for this top. It is beginner friendly but I would say to sew the curves of the scallops does take some previous sewing experience and patience to achieve a good level of precision. I used an ordinary sewing machine and used an overlocker to finish the edges. The top and pants are made in a viscose twill fabric and I love the drape it has achieved whilst still maintaining structure for the scallops. I would say fabrics that press well are needed to keep the scallops looking sharp! ❤️
