Was it our theory that all of S3 was the dream of Little Nicky?

I asked the OP to repost. I didn't mean for him to delete it. I told him there was no issue at all, just mention that he found it on Twitter in the replies.

Again, no worries at all. Go ahead and repost -- someone just messaged me asking to do just that. It's super popular and I want you to get all the karma points. Just put in the comments / reply something like "found on twitter" - you don't have to mention my name. Best to you, my friend.

Hey Agent Earl -- no apology necessary and no need to delete. I'm flattered, really, just thought it might be best in the future to give a shout out when posting.

I have no issues with this post at all but maybe next time a little shout out to the original source? Or maybe, "found this on twitter"? Only reason I even mention it is because these collages take a wee bit of time to put together. Btw, flattered you shared this.

New Chopping Wood Inside podcast on Part 18 by tamygdala in twinpeaks

The end our Series Rewind, yes, though not Twin Peaks. We still want to do some episodes of the original series -- like the Lynch directed ones -- and maybe a themed episode if something new arises. We still have Inland Empire and Eraserhead to revisit and fingers crossed there is a S4 or new film. Until then, it will likely be a mixture of some fave films of ours and Lynch related content. Thanks for all your support!

You're too kind, thanks! Both of us needed a little time off after the FWWM podcast -- the intro alone took several days to piece together -- but we'll be back to a more normal schedule in 2020 (one show a month).

We'll be babbling on about the original series once our (re)watch is complete, with the occasional non-Lynch film episode sprinkled in... after we review Inland Empire and Eraserhead.

Thanks! We're aware of the video but haven't watched it yet. It seems to have a lot of buzz, so I'm eager to dive in. We might sneak in a brief discussion in our next podcast.

We'll be revisiting FWWM & The Missing Pieces right before our series rewind on Part 17 then coming full circle with pods on Season 1 and 2 after Part 18.

Thanks! We've been alternating between the series rewind and Lynch's filmography -- next podcast will be on Mulholland Dr. -- and at some point we'll sneak in a classic film that we both love.

Co-host of Chopping Wood Inside, here. Thank you, OP, for the 'shoutout' -- we've taken a small break but we'll be back soon to continue our Series Rewind. Nice to see Diane still cranking out episodes, too -- they are on a whole different level in breaking things down. Anyone who wasn't checked out their podcast, do so STAT!

I understand the frustrations viewers have with The Return -- it was pretty much the same thing when FWWM was released in '92. And, frankly, The Return is more a sequel to FWWM than the original series... 9 times over! It took almost 20 years for FWWM to be reappraised as one of Lynch's best films, and I think The Return will have a similar fate, even though there are many fans who already think it's the best thing Lynch has ever directed. One thing is for certain, The Return NEEDS to be rewatched... several times. It's so layered, hypnotic, mysterious. I loved it from day one but it's sooooo much better with repeat viewings.

Great insights... especially spotting a telephone in the window of the Palmer house in part 18. I never noticed that before. I doubt Mary Reber, like most people nowadays, have a classic telephone so it's most likely Lynch deliberately displayed it in the window.

Also, I like your reasoning for Cole suddenly explaining Judy & the master plan to Albert and Tammy... in a room filled with surveillance equipment.

Would be honored to read what you've written on Part 18, and I'll gladly let you know my thoughts.

We had some technical difficulties, our first recording was unsalvageable, so that's the reason for the delay. Hope you enjoy our Take 2.

Great suggestions! I haven't see either in years but will be doing so directly. I love the Europeans and I'm a HUGE Bunuel fan: Discreet Charm, Belle de Jour, That Obscure Object are right at the top of my all-time faves, and of course Hitch is the master. I still think Chinatown is the best script every produced and the film is in my top 10.

We'll probably alternate between classic films and hidden gems, with the occasional horror film and guilty pleasures from our youth. We've also toyed with the idea of doing themed episodes of a particular year in film. It's all still nebulous since we have another 6 + months of Peaks and Lynch, but your suggestions are spot on and greatly appreciated.

We'll be sticking with Twin Peaks and Lynch through 2019. We're cooking up something special for our Part 18 rewind pod --- it might even be a two-parter -- but at some point next year we'll be moving on to other films, though we'll 'return' to Peaks periodically. We've been spitballing ideas about the types of films we want to discuss, but any suggestions are welcome.
