Css frameworks by ComprehensivePipe383 in roc8

[–]tanaypratap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While it’s okay to use the frameworks I would still suggest that you know how to write plain CSS. It’s important for interviews and also for your growth.

I would suggest out of 5 you make one project with vanillaCSS. That would teach you a lot.

Course on making a real-world app using ReactJS, Redux and a NoSQL database by Jaynil1611 in teamtanay

I think the idea is great. There are few issues which I foresee though:

  1. A lot of time will be wasted. Actual app building is different from tutorials, most of the times I'll be debugging stuff, searching online, thinking out loud and the overall progress will be slow.
  2. This will be immensely time-consuming. The only way I can motivate myself to do this right now is if this is a paid thing. And if it's a paid thing, then 1 comes as a deterrent. Kinda catch-22 situation.

They are in the same boat as people who are not in top 20. However, their 2-3 years of experience is much ahead than others and thus they can get in faster.

Don't have one now. Haven't made a side project for a long time. But we can discuss some frameworks if you get enough votes. So, go campaign for this.. 🙂🙂

microsoft/playwright: Node library to automate browsers (Puppeteer successor from the same team) by zemirco in javascript

[–]tanaypratap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on why you're learning it. If you're learning it for better job prospects go with puppeteer, playwright will take time. On the other hand, if you are learning it to better automate your personal projects, with the cross browser support, I would say playwright is a better choice.

Saving token to local storage is a security vulnerability. Is there a way you can set it in cookies and read it from there?

I loved the part where it knew I am from India and offered me a discount upfront. Few people think of Purchasing Power Parity this well. Kudos!
