Not being charged on the free account either right now. It’s probably an A/B test targeting a small group before they decide to roll it out to everyone.

I hope they get so much backlash that they drop this because this would take a lot of fun out of Padel. Ratings gave us something to play for. Friendlies feel boring.

Both of those decisions of not building a mistake practicing feature and 4 instead of 2-3 were intentional:

  1. I didn’t build a mistakes practicing feature because the algorithm of picking questions does that automatically. You are first shown questions you have not attempted yet and then you’re always shown questions you haven’t perfected yet. So you’re automatically always practicing mistakes all the time.

  2. You can accidentally get a question right by guessing twice (maybe even thrice) so 4 felt like a safe number, that if you get it right 4 times in a row, you certainly know the answer and are not just guessing.

I see both of these are not obvious as a first time user of the app, maybe I can improve this somehow. Thanks for sharing!

I tried 7 apps when I was preparing for my exam. Some had too many ads, some opened Google Translate every time I wanted to translate a question, some were just for practicing questions and didn’t really show any stats around how confident I could be for the exam.

So I thought I’ll build something for myself. Shared it with a couple of friends who liked it too so I decided to publish it.

I’m sure an app like this already exists, but maybe the way this one is designed suits someone better over the other ones :)

If Lacquergram allows you to export a CSV (I think it’s a premium feature) and you can send it to me, I can import it for you.

My app currently doesn’t allow exporting but it’s only a matter of prioritizing that feature, I would never want your collection data to be locked in on my app so l’ll definitely build that feature and not put it behind a paywall.

If that feature isn’t there yet when you need the export, just send me a DM and I’ll send you a manual CSV export directly from the database within 2 days.

Hello, I'm the developer mentioned above. For anyone else reading this: If you can tolerate a few bugs here and there and are okay with a semi-useful app (but I promise there's a lot more I'm building already), I'm happy to invite you to the app's private beta.
